Can learners switch languages mid-course?

Changing the language during a course will trigger the bookmark to return to the start of the lesson or the last saved location. This ensures content reloads properly in the selected language.

Are multilingual courses available in our existing LMS?

Yes, Tooling U-SME courses support SCORM and AICC.

How does a learner select their preferred language?

Learners can select their preferred language using the language selector within the Tooling U-SME platform. In the Student Center, this option is available directly in the interface. For SCORM-based courses, the Language Selector is available once the class launches and is inside the class player. Once a language is selected, the interface and supported content will update automatically.

Does language selection apply to assessments and navigation, or just lesson content?

Multi-language translation applies to the full experience in the Tooling U-SME student center, including navigation, interface elements, and lesson content.

However, some elements remain in English, including text within images, audio narration, video content, and Virtual Labs. Multi-language translation is currently not available for mobile devices.

Can organizations assign a default language by site or learner group?

Currently, multi-language translation can only be enabled at the account level. Once it is enabled, all users will have the ability to select any of the available languages.
